Southern California-based artist, Olivia Mohamed, is a self-taught painter who has had instruction in welding, woodworking, and glassblowing back in Jacksonville, FL. Creating sculptures is Liv’s main passion but gained an appreciation for painting as time passed from access to a welding shop. Liv spends her free time reading, running after her children, and having sushi dates with her husband.

Not long after moving to the West Coast, I grew hungry with the need to create. My only options at the time were to continue my artistic dry spell or pick up a paintbrush. I have dabbled with watercolors and oil colors but mainly use acrylic for my paintings. 

The moon and the stars have always held a place in my life since the days of searching my horoscope on Ask Jeeves. If you know, then you know. As you glance at many of my works, you'll find astrology signs as the backbone of my inspiration in my newer creations.
